RFC 4287, also known as The Atom Syndication Format. (Via Phil.)

My name in a RFC. Yay! Now would be a good time to dump RSS. Any version.

Right. You probably want to start with AvK RSS? ;)

  4. Schweet! Congrats!

I use FeedBurner who feeds Atom/RSS dynamically. :)

  5. Isn't IE 7 deciding to go only with RSS? So where does that actually leave Atom, if one of the major browsers will be ignoring it? Maybe we should press them to include Atom? Why do I ask so many questions today?

  6. IE7/Windows Vista will be supporting Atom. There were some misconceptions because they were adding extensions to the RSS standard. But from what I understand, these extensions were merely to bring RSS more in line with Atom so that either format could be used. (used for what, I'm not entirely sure)

  7. Call me stupid, but why isn't > escaped as >? (e.g. in section 3.1.1.2.)

  8. Call me stupid, but why isn't > escaped as >? (e.g. in section 3.1.1.2.)

Since no markup starts with '>', it doesn't have to be escaped.
