Unexpected travel

While reading the terrorists are winning, and other musings on politics I was wondering when I’d go to the States again. January 2007 I thought and I was hoping it would be over by then. Same day I heard I should go to Seattle for some stuff. I’ve heard the word “security” enough by now. And all those people that want to check you and everything. Oh my… The States are just in “orange alert” though as opposed to England, which is in red. Going to England at the end of this month.

I also had the most crazy trip ever which will generate me some miles, but that’s all that’s good about it. Had to go through this annoying airport again and we also had a stop at Atlanta which is totally in the wrong direction. So much for last minute flights. It was booked about eight hours before we went. Had to get up at three o’clock in the morning… Fun! I do enjoy these trips a lot by the way, don’t worry.

For who’s interested in meeting up, I’ll be around at this Opera User Group meetup in Seattle. Should be fun. Having fun here as well with some other employees from Opera, including one fellow Dutch guy. You don’t see those a lot. He’s working in Oslo though. He’s also coming to that meetup although Huib isn’t mentioned on that page for some reason. Dunno. Anyway, dinnertime here.
