HTML: Base our work on HTML5?

New: Results of Questionnaire Shall we Adopt HTML5 as our specification text for review? Results should be in by the end of this week. Results are announced either at the end of this week or maybe at the start of the next. Not sure. If someone decides to vote “No” they need to have a pretty good reason. Ultimate decision is made by the chairs (based on the input from the group, of course).

Group statistics: 383 group participants, over 1700 messages on public-html@w3.org this month.

  3. I’m in Oslo at the moment. Norwegians don’t have such a day. There are lots of other activities though.

    Incidentally no one did...

  5. Keep in mind that, as of this message, many of the Microsoft and XForms people haven't voted yet.

  6. I see the first 'no' :P

Meanwhile I wonder when this group will really be able to get productive; most discussions still seem to be about why HTML5 won't have draconian error-handling or doesn't remove deprecated features from the specification. What does it take to make these people understand?
