cursor:url() in Mozilla!

Currently there is support for Windows and Linux. Other platforms (see bugs: 286304, 286306, 286307, 286309 and 286310) will probably be supported later, but I doubt if they make Firefox 1.1/Mozilla 1.8 beta 2. Note also that the CSS2.1 version is implemented, see bug 286303 for the CSS3 syntax version.

Something important to remember is that when you start using them you need to define a fallback cursor as well, otherwise the entire declaration will be dropped. This is consistent with the CSS2.1 specification and inconsistent with Internet Explorer’s implementation.

  3. Are there any screenshots so you can see how this will look?

  4. i'm probably being thick, as i never managed to divine any understandable information from bugzilla, but: does this mean the latest nightlies have this support? or is it the betas? or the open source community version of moz 1.8?

    I haven't checked Mozilla, but surely you must have checked this out in IE?

  7. It means Mozilla 1.8 beta 2 will support it. That is the Mozilla Platform, not to be confused with the Mozilla Suite or “Seamonkey”. Gecko is part of that platform. This also means that Firefox 1.1 will be the first (and perhaps only) official release to support it. Other Mozilla based products based on 1.8 beta 2 will support it as well of course.

    Laurens, yeah. I believe my next weblog system will redirect those and leave atom:id the same. WordPress does not, however, so I need to keep that spelling mistake in there.

    Yes, yes too, and yes. It is fixed on the trunk of Mozilla CVS, and everything that is running from the trunk (at the moment everything, the nightlies, upcoming betas, and the suite) will have the changes.
