Anne van Kesteren

Passed

So I passed secondary school. My six years of doing close to nothing have finally paid off. I’m not sure what to think of it, except that I’m happy that I did. Another year would have bored me to death. Or maybe not, as I fill my free time — and occasionally school time — with interesting jobs, a company and some freelance work.

(Not everything is going as easy as it seems to be when I put it down here by the way. But I don’t want to blog everything.)

Congrats to Mark as well, both friend and collegue (yeah, XFN will be here some day). Oh, and Mark, thanks for your post card! Much appreciated.

  5. Congrats, except learning for physics and maths a few days before the exams I don't think I did anything else then attend some lessons to get that VWO diploma. :P

I am too lazy to graduate. I just finished my third semester after starting studies for the third time ;]

  9. Gefeliciteerd! :-)

P.S. you can add the lang="nl" to that paragraph yourself, as your comment system doesn't allow me to ;p

  12. Thanks all. I’m going to study Informatiekunde. (By the way, use xml:lang. Or to phrase it differently, the lang attribute in the XML namespace.)

  13. Gefeliciteerd, Anne! Mijn zusje moet een geschiedenisher– doen.

  14. Gefeliciteerd!

I remember how boring VWO can be. And university isn't always that much better on that account, by the way (but at least you choose your own course of studies)... Enjoy your summer!

  15. Anne, this is why HTML is confusing ;P I explicitly chose lang over xml:lang because you're not using XHTML anyway. :)

  25. Gefeliciteerd :-).

  27. Congratulations! I don't know what school's like over there, but I was so glad to get out of school and into University in England (and then out of University again, but that's a different story...)

  33. Hartelijk gefeliciteerd, Anne, en veel success met informatiekunde! Misschien studeer ik ook vanaf 2006 in Nederland, Communication and Multimedia Design in Maastricht. Ik ben al benieuwd.

  34. Whee! :)

Doing close to nothing... Heh, that sounds familiar ;p. Though I can’t really say that it made graduating easier, back then ^_^.

Hope to see you next year in Utrecht! I’ll see if I still need to catch up on a first-year class :).
