Mobile test results

Results for the mobile tests are now available: Results of mobile tests. Given these results we can conclude that most of the mobile browsers out there love tag soup and think RFC 3023 can be safely disregarded (by treating application/xhtml+xml as text/html; the horror). Your Opera Mini passes all the tests though, for what it’s worth. We “care” about standards.

(Well, not enough to add support for document(), but we’ll get to that at some point. There’s only so many features we can implement.)

  1. Did the tests take into account Proxy servers acting on behalf of the phones? Though I am not surprised by the results.

  2. Looks like the people at Motorola "care" about standards too. Glad to hear that :)

According to Google, Motorola phones actually use Opera.

  5. Where is the BiDi/RTL support? :(
A whole market is being neglected in Opera Mini. :)

  6. Ok, maybe it's time to download that Mini. My Samsung D800 browser only passed the first 2 tests.
