The W3C CSS Working Group just published CSS Snapshot 2007, with the shortname css-beijing
. The draft is very short and basically tells us that CSS is a language that is evolving over time and currently consists of CSS 2.1, Selectors Level 3, CSS Namespaces, and CSS Color Level 3. Making this more obvious by simply stating it in a draft seems like a good thing. As for the naming, it’s named “Snapshot” because I suggested that to fantasai in #css
and css-beijing
because the CSS WG came up with this idea in 北京. (It’s tempting to start playing with IRIs now, but I’m afraid my webblog will break.)
Also, Behavioral Extensions to CSS was published as Working Draft (finally!) defining some CSS features for use with XBL 2.0.
