Last Friday the question was put whether to publish the HTML Design Principles draft after I updated it to address a few comments. A second survey was also published with regards to publishing HTML 5, and the HTML 5 differences from HTML 4 document. Results are coming this week and by Saturday we should know the outcome:
If it happens, can we use the multipage approach? Accessing the whole thing as one giant blob just to check a specific detail gets real old real fast.
I asked this before but it seems more important if it becomes a Working Draft. Basically:
In day-to-day authoring, a usable spec makes it a simpler and more pleasant task to double-check technical details.
This also applies to spec review, I think.
It would be nice to see a survey not resulting in formal objections, but I guess that's simply impossible in this group... I wonder if this WG will ever be able to make any progress this way...
