reboot 9.0: the pre-reboot and day one

• Went to the pre-reboot and had some Italian at a place Mark goes every year (I went there during reboot 7.0);
• The weather was great for the day and a half I was in Denmark;
• Saw the entertaining presentations from Jeremy Keith;
• Also saw some other presentations and hanged out for a bit at the Opera stand;
• Went into a cab right after my talk only to discover I arrived rather early at the airport.

1. What is your opinion on Google Gears? Shouldn't they work together with WhatWG so it is f.e. compatible with the persistent storage spec?

2. I was planning on posting about Google Gears later. I believe that is the plan of Google. To work together with both the WHATWG and HTML WG to integrate their new functionality into HTML5. There is already some discussion going on.
