Visited in 2010

Two times (2008, 2009) makes a tradition. So again, in rough chronological order, with the many visits to Norway collapsed into one:

• Argentina; saw Penguins in Patagonia and partied in Buenos Aires.
• Norway; visited Oslo several times again (doh) and Trondheim for the first time. Oslo houses lots of great friends that make taco’s, go skiing, and appreciate good (fricking expensive) beer. And of course Opera!
• Sweden; drank a Tactical Nuclear Penguin at De Klomp in Linköping.
• California; CSS WG meeting at Google.
• Japan; visited Michael again in Tokyo and went to Fukuoka to give a talk. Japan is awesome by the way. I really want to go back again, but it looks like it will not happen before next summer.
• Spain; Charles threw a big birthday party in Maraña.
• Switzerland; walked the Matterhorn Tour.
• United Kingdom; went to Brighton with Peter, Krijn, and Matijs for dConstruct.
• France; W3C’s annual TPAC conference was held in Lyon this year. Next time around I will write at least one post about it.
• Hungary; partied and relaxed during a weekend in Budapest.
• Denmark; same deal in Copenhagen, but with exquisite beer the last night.

Going to Berlin fell through unfortunately. But we will try again in due course.

(I buy carbon offsets for the flights I take by the way, including those for work. Usually more than the indicated amount.)
